Prosthetist / Orthotist Grade 1

  • Orthotic experience highly valued.
  • Based at the Royal Park Campus, but may require working on-site at RMH City, Western Hospital Footscray or Sunshine Hospital

 

Your new team 

  • Opportunity for an experienced Grade 1 Prosthetist/Orthotist to work as part of an established Prosthetics & Orthotics team, in a major amputee rehabilitation service.
  • Provide safe, evidence based and patient centred care including assessment, intervention and discharge planning for RMH patients.
  • Demonstrate effective communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services and information.
  • Learn and develop your professional skills in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Enjoy a career structure which develops specialist clinical, research, education, and leadership skills for Allied Health.

 

About You

  • You are an AOPA and NDIS registered Prosthetist/Orthotist dedicated to providing evidence-based practice.
  • Have experience working in outpatient Orthotic & Prosthetic services.
  • You value working in a supportive and dedicated team with strong evidence-based practice and patient centred approach.
  • You are demonstrate sound clinical decision making and an ability to navigate public health structures, assist clinical education, and assist with quality projects.
