About the Role
The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a motivated and highly organised Project Officer to join the Pathology Connect program. This large-scale, multi-site initiative will deliver a new Laboratory Information System (Epic Beaker) and an integrated enterprise billing solution.
As Project Officer, you will provide high-quality project and administrative support to the Senior Project Director and project team, helping ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of key project activities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative digital health program that will improve outcomes for patients, clinicians, and pathology services across Victoria.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Project Director and project team in delivering program activities and milestones
- Coordinate logistics for testing, training, super users, and go-live readiness
- Prepare project documents, briefs, reports, and presentations
- Maintain project registers, schedules, and document management systems
- Assist with governance activities, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and communications across multiple workstreams
- Provide operational and administrative support to ensure smooth project delivery
About You:
- Experience providing project or business support within a complex organisation
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience in health, digital health, or transformation programs (highly desirable)
- Experience working in health service pathology laboratories (highly desirable)
