Job Description: 

Grade 2 Podiatrist

  • Full Time, Fixed Term until 7 August 2026
  • Full Time or Part Time hours available including school hours (9am–2pm)
  • Based across City Campus, Royal Park Campus, and community sites, with a varied caseload including wound care, biomechanics, and minor procedures

About the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH): 

As a Grade 2 Podiatrist, you will provide high-quality podiatry care to adults with complex foot health needs, with a strong focus on lower limb neurovascular conditions and diabetic foot management. You will work across acute hospital and community-based settings, supporting patients to prevent complications, promote healing and maintain independence. 

The Podiatry and Diabetic Foot Unit team provides services across the Royal Melbourne Hospital City and Royal Park campuses, as well as community settings through partnered services. The team works closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver coordinated, patient-centred diabetic foot care. Supervision, professional development and quality improvement are key strengths of the department. 

Your new role:

  • Assess and manage adult podiatry patients with complex foot and lower limb conditions
  • Deliver evidence-based care for people with diabetes-related foot disease
  • Work across inpatient, outpatient and community settings
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Unit clinics
  • Participate in supervision, professional development and quality improvement activities

About you:

  • Registration as a Podiatrist with relevant clinical experience
  • Sound knowledge of lower limb neurovascular and diabetic foot conditions
  • Ability to work across acute and community healthcare environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to learning, supervision and continuous improvement
