About the role
Join the newly established Public Pathology Victoria at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a Personal Assistant supporting the Chief Pathologist, Chief Paediatric and Perinatal Pathologist and General Manager Pathology.
You’ll provide high-level administrative and coordination support across senior clinical and operational leaders, managing competing priorities, coordinating meetings and correspondence, preparing documents and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Pathology leadership team.
This is a varied role that will suit an experienced administrator who is highly organised, proactive and confident working with senior stakeholders in a busy healthcare environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide high-level diary, email and administrative support to senior leaders
- Coordinate meetings, governance forums, agendas, papers, minutes and actions
- Manage correspondence, documentation, purchase orders and administrative records
- Support recruitment, onboarding, staff forums and other workforce activities
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Parkville Precinct
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve administrative processes
About You
You’re an organised and solution-focused administrator who enjoys variety, managing competing priorities and keeping things moving. You bring:
- Previous experience in a PA, executive support or similar administrative role
- Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with discretion and confidentiality
- Confidence managing competing priorities and working with initiative and judgement
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 and administrative systems skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in a healthcare environment is highly regarded
