About the role

Join the People Services team at The Royal Melbourne Hospital as a People Services & Onboarding Coordinator, supporting a smooth and welcoming experience for new starters across RMH.

 

As an Onboarding Coordinator, you’ll provide day to day high volume administrative support across the broader People Services team. You’ll support a range of activities including onboarding and compliance documentation collection, data entry and maintenance, monthly reporting and audits for upcoming compliance requirements and general administration support. You’ll also coordinate letters and onboarding for unpaid appointees joining RMH such as honorarys and work experience students.

 

This role suits an organised, customer-focused professional who takes pride in accuracy, responsiveness and delivering a positive people experience.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Recruitment & Onboarding Administration – Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including documentation, pre-employment checks, contracts and commencement activities.
  • Workforce Compliance & Data Support – Maintain accurate workforce records and support compliance, reporting and data quality requirements.
  • Enquiries & Customer Service – Provide timely, professional support to candidates, new employees and RMH staff across phone and email enquiries.
  • Operational & Team Support – Provide broader administrative and coordination support to the People Services team, assisting with team priorities, workflow and peak-period activities.

 

About You

 

You’re organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and confidently in a high-volume environment
  • Experience using recruitment, compliance or HR systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SuccessFactors or SAP
  • Sound judgement when handling confidential information with discretion and integrity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach

Desirable

  • Experience in recruitment, HR, compliance coordination or contracts administration, ideally within healthcare
  • Understanding of employment screening and onboarding requirements
  • Experience supporting graduate programs or high-volume recruitment campaigns
