The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.  

 

The Office for Research (OfR) at the Royal Melbourne Hospital are progressive thought leaders in our sector. The OfR oversees clinical research across Royal Melbourne Hospital in close collaboration with Parkville Precinct Partners. The Office provides leadership, advice and infrastructure to fully embed clinical research into RMH clinical care within the State and Federal regulatory framework.

  • Grow your internal and external stakeholder enabling skills within the Parkville Precinct; 

  • Full time position. 

 

The Operations Lead, Governance Office will:

  • Provide key operational support the Manager, Governance Office in day-to-day decision-making and operational improvement; 

  • Assist the OfR leadership team to drive strategic projects of RMH as relevant research governance; 

  • Be responsible for delivering governance approvals for the commercial and non-commercial sector; 

  • Will work in close collaboration with OfR Functional Area Managers to deliver strategic and operational outcomes; 

  • Will lead to an exciting and successful career step in clinical research management in a collaborative and inclusive environment; 

  • Will promote reputational strength within a strong customer service culture at one of Australia’s leading public health service providers. 

 

This role is for you because:

  • You have industry experience including operations and can support researchers and commercial sponsors; 

  • You have an intimate working knowledge in human ethics and institutional research governance; 

  • You are experienced in clinical research start-up within the demands of our sector; 

  • You are customer focussed and ready to progress your management career; 

  • You have a good working knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the clinical research sector; 

  • You are a team-minded individual with a strong attention to detail
