Medical Laboratory Scientist Grade 1

• Two Full Time positions available
  • Full time Fixed Term Position until 1 Oct 2027
  • Full Time Ongoing Position
• 80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO
• Melbourne Health Pathology Service, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Biochemistry Laboratory

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care

Your Opportunity:

• Perform a variety of biochemical analyses using both automated and manual methods.
• Undertake other related duties as required.
• Participate in our rotational 24/7 shift roster.

About You:

• A bachelor’s degree in science or in applied science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a tertiary hospital or private Biochemistry laboratory is desirable.
• Experience with Mass Spectrometry is desirable.
• Commitment to customer focused service.
• Capacity to perform under pressure, to meet time constraints and determine work priorities.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork-based skills.
