About The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH)
Pharmacy at RMH plays a vital role in the safe and efficient delivery of sterile and non-sterile manufactured medications across 600 inpatient beds and ambulatory care areas.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Pharmacy Technician to oversee and develop our Aseptic Suite services, working collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Your new team
You’ll join a dynamic and supportive pharmacy department providing high-level technician services across Parkville and Royal Park campuses. Our services span aseptic production, inpatient dispensary, inventory management, compassionate and sponsored care, and more.
We’re also expanding into new and emerging areas such as ambulatory and outpatient care, statewide and federal medication services, digital health and informatics, and business and data analytics.
About the role
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Aseptic Manufacturing Suite
- Lead and support a team of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists delivering high-quality aseptic services
- Train and mentor others to develop aseptic manufacturing expertise
- Contribute to leadership decisions shaping the future of aseptic services
- Maintain a strong customer service focus and commitment to quality
- Participate in meetings, committees, and after-hours/on-call rosters as required
About you
- Certificate IV in Hospital or Health Services Pharmacy Support (essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ hospital experience
- Demonstrated aseptic manufacturing expertise
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Current Australian working rights (citizens or permanent residents)
