Are you an experienced hospital pharmacy aseptic technician looking to take the next step in your career?

Pharmacy at The Royal Melbourne Hospital plays a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of aseptic sterile and non-sterile manufactured medications across the 600 inpatient beds and our ambulatory care areas.

We are looking for a highly qualified, skilled and motivated individual to lead our Pharmacy Department Aseptic Suite services. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Your new team

We provide high level pharmacy technician services into many exciting areas over our Parkville and Royal Park campuses including technician led:

• • • Aseptic services
    • Inpatient dispensary services
    • Inventory management
    • Compassionate and sponsored care programs

We are also continuously developing new roles into exciting areas such as:

• • • Ambulatory / outpatient care
    • State-wide medication services
    • Federal medications services
    • Digital health and informatics
    • Business and data analytics

• We are a dynamic and supportive pharmacy team working together to deliver safe, high-quality patient care and medicines management
• We enjoy a collaborative working environment, and you will work as part of the operational team to support the provision of medications
• We will support you to develop your skills in leadership and management

About the role

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the Pharmacy Aseptic Manufacturing Suite.
  Lead a dynamic team of motivated individuals (Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists) to provide high-quality aseptic services
• Train and develop others to provide aseptic services
• Participate in leadership decisions to shape the aseptic services of the future
• Maintain a customer focus for all services within the scope of the position
• Contribute to on-call, after-hours, public holiday, and weekend services
• Participate in meetings and committees

About you

• Minimum Certificate IV in Hospital or Health Services Pharmacy Support (essential)
• Minimum 5 years of Hospital Experience
• Must have established Aseptic Manufacturing experience and skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-developed oral & written communication skills
• Current working rights in Australia or Citizens/Permanent Residents
