LGBTIQA+ Mental Health Clinician

About RMH MHS and the Community Team
As part of commitment to providing equity in health care, RMH MHS is establishing the LGBTIQA+ Mental Health Senior Clinician role. This role supports the service to embed diversity, equity and inclusion through an intersectional lens and drive best practice in LGBTIQA+ mental health treatment, care and support alongside consumers, carers and communities.
Your new role
- Provide direct clinical interventions and secondary consultations to support consumers, carers and family as they move through the service
- Participate in review and enhancement of procedures and policies, improve linkages and relationships across the service and with other stakeholders.
- Work with enthusiastic multidiscipline professionals including existing LGBTIQA+ roles at RMH
- Demonstrate and extend your leadership skills to drive best practice and positive culture across RMH MHS
- Actively engage in supervision, support activities, discipline specific meetings and professional development
About you
- Motivated to champion LGBTIQA+ inclusive and affirming practice across all RMH MHS teams
- Possess formal qualifications and registration as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker or Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Show leadership skills including initiative, advanced communication skills and the capacity and willingness to further develop these
