About the role

We are seeking an Investigations Specialist to join our People & Culture team. Reporting to the Senior Lead, Employee Relations, this role is responsible for providing expert advice and hands-on support in the management of complex workplace investigations.

 

You will bring strong investigative skills, experience managing sensitive matters, and the ability to apply robust investigation methodologies to support fair, thorough, and timely outcomes. While experience in workplace relations is highly regarded, we welcome applicants from a range of investigative backgrounds who can demonstrate strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage complex and confidential matters.

 

You will partner closely with key stakeholders across People & Culture and broader leadership groups to provide specialist investigation support, identify risks, and ensure matters are managed with integrity, fairness, and in accordance with best-practice investigation processes. Knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Victorian Public Health Enterprise Agreements, and workplace relations frameworks will be highly regarded.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Managing complex workplace investigations ensuring procedural fairness, compliance and timely outcomes
  • Providing employee relations advice to leaders, employees and People & Culture teams
  • Maintaining and improving investigation resources, templates and training materials
  • Supporting leaders with Enterprise Agreement and policy interpretation during workplace matters
  • Monitoring legislative and industrial relations developments to support best practice approaches

 

About You

  • Demonstrated experience conducting complex investigations, managing sensitive matters, and applying robust investigation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess information, identify risks, and provide clear, practical advice and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and understanding of confidentiality and procedural fairness obligations.
  • Experience supporting leaders with complex employee matters and investigation processes.

Desirable:

  • Experience within the health sector, public sector, or similarly complex environments.
  • Knowledge of Victorian Public Health Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and Australian employment legislation.
  • Experience coaching leaders and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
