The Health Information Services Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of medical records, supporting the hospital’s dedication to delivering exceptional healthcare through accurate patient information management.
Role Overview:
- Operate and maintain computerised health information systems such as the Patient Administration System (iPM), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), and Electronic Medical Record (EMR/Epic) systems.
- Collect, prepare, scan, and quality-check medical record documents.
- Liaise with internal and external departments to maintain the integrity of medical records.
- Handle patient information requests, monitor documentation deficiencies, and support MRN merging processes.
- Follow HIS procedures and participate in safety and quality programs.
