Health Assistant in Nursing (HAN) – General Medicine

The Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Ongoing Part Time opportunity
  • Work a rotating roster, 48 hours per fortnight, within our supportive and dedicated team
  • Join a multidisciplinary team with a unique and motivating work environment

An exciting opportunity exists for passionate and motivated HANs to join our dedicated team on 5 North. 5 North is a 20 bed ward caring for the diverse speciality of General Medicine.  This diverse group of patients requires staff to have a broad range of clinical and non-clinical skills to effectively care for these patients. This diverse group of patients require the nursing, allied health, pharmacy & medical teams to work together as cohesive unit to ensure best care is provided.

Your Opportunity:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to our patients in a 20-bed acute ward.
  • Work collaboratively within a skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence in patient outcomes.
  • Participate in post-operative care, wound management, and complex reconstructive cases.
  • Enjoy a flexible roster and a strong team culture that values work–life balance.

About You:

  • Experience or interest in acute clinical settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative, team-based care.
  • Adaptable, motivated, and reliable, with a strong commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
