Job Description: 

Occupational Therapist - Grade 3 Senior Clinician
Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Provide excellent clinical assessment and therapy for patients in trauma and surgical services. 
  • Flexible roster (including weekends) in our supportive and collaborative Occupational Therapy team.
  • Part time (0.63EFT) fixed term until 25th March 2027. 
  • Career progression opportunities across the organisation, supported and developed through our supervision program.

Your New Role:

  • The OT surgical stream provides clinical services to surgical and trauma units. 
  • Provide excellent, evidence based and patient centred care including assessment, intervention and discharge planning for patients in the acute hospital wards.
  • Supervise and educate junior and developing occupational therapists, allied health assistants and occupational therapy students.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services, information and leadership.
  • Contribute to the 7-day service to trauma unit

About You:

  • An acute hospital experience with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development for yourself and others.
  • An AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist dedicated to providing evidence-based practice.
  • You value working with supportive and dedicated Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
