About the Role
Food Services plays a vital role in supporting patient care by delivering safe, nutritious and culturally appropriate meals to patients across the hospital. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to meal preparation, service delivery, food safety and maintaining a clean and efficient food services environment.
This is a hands on role that requires excellent teamwork, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors and colleagues.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare, plate and distribute meals and beverages in accordance with food safety and quality standards.
- Deliver meal services to patients and collect meal trays efficiently and respectfully.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across food service areas, equipment and workspaces.
- Follow safe food handling procedures and cook-chill guidelines.
About You
- Safe Food Handling Certificate for the Health Industry (or equivalent).
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High standards of personal presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a food service, hospitality, healthcare or aged care environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work with patients and consumers in a compassionate and respectful manner.
