We are seeking a passionate and patient-focused individual to join the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Electronic Medical Records (EMR) team as a First Nations Health Hub Concierge!

This exciting, part time role is fixed term for 6 months and will play a pivotal part in driving uptake and engagement with Health Hub (our digital patient portal) for our First Nations’ patients and consumers. This role will work closely with the First Nations Health Unit to support and provide culturally safe care to our First Nations patients and consumers needing digital support.

Your new role

Health Hub gives patients, carers, and proxies online access to their hospital information. The First Nations Health Hub Concierge will:

  • Act as a visible and welcoming Health Hub ambassador in patient-facing settings
  • Provide hands-on support by helping patients sign up, download the Health Hub application, and use key features
  • Act as a liaison between patients, staff, and technical teams to ensure Health Hub becomes a routine part of care 

About you:

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture, society, and kinship networks
  • Experience in working with First Nations patients and consumers in a mainstream health, primary care or welfare sector
  • Experience working in a support role within a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain digital tools to users with varying levels of digital literacy
  • Proficiency in information technology, and the ability and willingness to learn new systems quickly
