Be a key member of the Royal Melbourne Hospital clinical research enabling team in a position with broad career boosting exposure! The role is responsible for the coordination, preparation of feasibility and start up of commercially sponsored projects at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

As the Feasibility and Start Up Specialist you will assist and support RMH research teams to promote and enable clinical research with the overall goal of increasing clinical research and trials at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Working with members of the Office for Research, you will be a part of progressive thought leaders in our sector. The Office oversees clinical research across Royal Melbourne Hospital in close collaboration with Parkville Precinct Partners. The Office provides leadership, advice and infrastructure to fully embed clinical research into clinical care within the State and Federal regulatory framework.

The role RMH offers will:

  • Lead and grow the clinical trials portfolio at RMH;
  • Work in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (e.g pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO companies);
  • Ensure there is a streamlined feasibility to start up process which includes high quality ethics and governance submissions to streamline approvals;
  • Promote reputational strength at one of Australia’s leading public health and research service providers.

You are the right candidate as:

  • You have hands-on experience in coordinating and preparing ethics and governance submissions;
  • Experience in coordinating Site Selection Visits and are stakeholder responsive;
  • Have worked in education and/or health service organisations;
  • You enjoy working in a fast paced environment where start up timelines are crucial for external stakeholders;
  • You are a team-minded individual with a strong attention to detail;
