About the Role
The Executive Officer is a senior, high-trust role within the Office of the Chief Executive, providing executive operations leadership and Board Secretariat support to ensure the effective functioning of the CEO, Board, Board Chair and Executive Leadership Team.
Working at the centre of organisational decision-making, you will coordinate key priorities, strengthen governance and executive processes, and ensure the smooth flow of information across critical initiatives.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, partnering with senior leaders to strengthen governance, drive organisational priorities and support high-quality executive decision-making.
Key Accountabilities
- Drive the operational effectiveness of the Office of the Chief Executive, managing workflows, priorities and coordination across leadership forums
- Act as a key coordination point for the CEO and Board Chair, preparing high-quality briefings, correspondence, reports and presentations
- Lead Board and Committee governance processes in partnership with the Corporate Secretary, coordinating agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking
- Maintain governance registers, Board workplans and compliance documentation
- Track and drive progress on CEO, Board and Executive priorities, strengthening executive office systems, processes and operating rhythms
- Build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders, including key sector partners and high-level engagement readiness
About You
- Deep expertise in Board Secretariat and corporate governance
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with sound judgement and discretion in sensitive matters
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
- A proactive, highly organised approach that performs well under pressure

Desirable
- Experience in the Victorian public health, government or broader regulated sector
- Formal governance qualification (e.g. Governance Institute of Australia Certification or equivalent)
