About CEED

CEED is a state-wide program of Victoria’s public mental health system under the auspice of the Royal Melbourne Hospital-Mental Health Service. CEED’s overall role is partner in the implementation of the Victorian Eating Disorders Strategy 2024 – 2031 (VEDS) and to build a comprehensive stepped system of care for people experiencing eating disorders, their families, supports and communities.

CEED supports development of local systems of care through service development partnerships with Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Services (AMHWS) and the broader health service system.

CEED works to build the eating disorders clinical capability of the AMHWS & broader health sector workforces, through clinical case consultation, group reflective practice and workforce development.

CEED is seeking a Senior Eating Disorders Clinician to join our team and work with clinicians and leaders across Victoria’s specialist mental health system, and the broader health sector to provide evidence-informed and compassionate care for people experiencing eating disorders and their supports.

About the role:

  • Work with a dynamic and supportive team
  • Provide eating disorder secondary consultation & reflective practice support to clinicians and teams
  • Develop and facilitate eating disorder Foundational and Treatment Model training
  • Co-facilitate adjunctive eating disorders multi-family group clinical programs
  • Work with AMHWS and the broader health sector to improve local systems of care for eating disorders
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Victorian Eating Disorder Strategy (VEDS) 2024-2031
  • Fixed term (12-month) parental leave vacancy

 

About you

Qualifications

  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (all disciplines except Social Work & Dietetics).

Qualified RPN, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist or Social Worker

Essential

  • At least 3 - 5 years’ clinical experience in the mental health field
  • Experience in provision of outpatient / community evidence-based treatment for children / adolescent, or adults experiencing eating disorders
  • Experience in the provision of education and training for health professionals
  • A current Victorian driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel throughout Victoria

Desirable

  • Experience and competence in the delivery of clinical services to children, youth and families experiencing eating disorders in a CYMHWS setting
  • Experience in providing clinical case consultation, clinical supervision or mentoring of health professionals
  • Family therapy knowledge and skills
