Job Description: 

Position: Deputy Head of Unit, Gastroenterology and Hepatology Medicine

Employment Status: 5 Year leadership

Hours: 10.5 hours/fortnight

The Role: Specialist Medical Staff

About You:

Mandatory Qualifications:

    • MBBS or Equivalent
    • Must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
    • Specialist Training in Gastroenterology & Hepatology Medicine

Essential Experience for Performance in this Position:

  • Experience in a clinical leadership or managerial role.
    • Advanced communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work professionally and collaboratively.

Desirable but not essential for Performance in this Position:

  • A research, education, business or management/leadership track record
  • A relevant higher academic degree such as PhD
  • Formal management/leadership training

  • Current SMS staff who hold substantive RMH appointments.
  • Current RMH DiT’s that hold Fellowship in the above speciality at the time of application.
