Deputy Director

Your new role:
Reporting to the Executive Director RMH Foundation, the Deputy Director will have both internal and external facing responsibilities, including managing a defined donor portfolio, project management of appeals/events/tours, including the RMH Home Lottery, and financial and people management.
The Deputy Director will partner closely with the Executive Director RMH Foundation to chart the Foundation’s future growth in line with budgets and strategic response to an ever-increasing demand for the RMH Foundation’s services.
In this role you will:
- Provide exceptional leadership within, and outside, the RMH Foundation, demonstrating a strong commitment to the RMH values.
- Assist the Executive Director RMH Foundation in developing, implementing and delivering a hospital-wide fundraising strategy to maximise philanthropic income for the Hospital’s priorities.
- Develop partnerships with private wealth management companies/organisations to encourage their philanthropists to support the RMH.
- Develop relationships with RMH Senior Medical Staff to explore their high net-worth patients/connections and ensure they remain engaged in the fundraising process.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director RMH Foundation, build and drive strategic engagement/development with department heads across RMH including providing strategic advice and specialist expertise on all aspects of fundraising and donor solicitation.
- Implement a series of donor engagement events/activities/tours to educate and inspire continued and new high-net-worth donors and maintain a strong stewardship program.
- Develop a dynamic Alumni program for medical/administrative staff, managing the Alumni committee and organising suitable forums for engagement.
About you:
- Formally qualified in a relevant field or equivalent.
- Hold membership of the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA).
- Creative, enthusiastic, and outgoing professional who enjoys interacting with donors and fundraising volunteers as well as stakeholders and community leaders.
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience in healthcare philanthropy at a leadership level.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to handle multiple projects, establish priorities and meet deadlines with impeccable attention to detail.
