Customer Service Clerk – Specialist Clinics (Outpatients)

About the Role
As a key member of the outpatient customer service team, you will support the end-to-end administrative management of patient appointments and referrals. Working across a busy and dynamic environment, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, clinicians and referrers while helping ensure patients receive timely access to specialist care.
Specialist Clinics supports more than 195,000 patient attendances each year across a broad range of medical, surgical, nursing and allied health services.
Key Accountabilities
In this role, you will:
- Manage referrals, appointment bookings and waitlists for outpatient services.
- Provide high-quality reception and customer service to patients and visitors.
- Respond to patient, referrer and clinician enquiries via phone and online platforms.
- Maintain accurate patient information and data entry records.
About You
Essential
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a professional telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, problem solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Previous healthcare administration or clerical experience.
- TAFE-accredited clerical training or related qualification.
