About the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH):

RMH part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.

About the role:

RMH are seeking a Research Nurse to join the Nursing Research Hub. You will work alongside the Director of Nursing Inquiry and Research, and bring your nursing research expertise in design, methodology and rigor to nurture nursing research capability.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop novel ways to attract Nurse-Led researchers.
  • Develop evidence-based practice (EBP) examples of ‘how to’ transform research findings into nursing clinical practice, with metrics that demonstrate the impact.
  • Use implementation science to bring EBP research to the bed-side.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Master's Degree in Nursing, Economics, MBA, Statistics or related field.
  • Completed a PhD, or a PhD candidate in nursing, health sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive clinical experience in nursing and research.
  • Nursing publication.
  • Completing ethics applications and grant writing
  • Proven leadership in managing and implementing research in clinical practice.
