The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH), part of the world-class Parkville Precinct, is one of Australia’s leading public healthcare providers. We deliver a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, mental health, aged care and rehabilitation services, as well as community-based programs and clinics.
We are seeking a Clinical Research Manager to join our dynamic ICU Research Department. This role supports the delivery of high-quality clinical trials and research studies in collaboration with the ICU team and is led by the Head of ICU Research.

About the role:
- Provide leadership in the delivery of safe, high-quality care to patients involved in ICU clinical trials
- Oversee and support a team of Research Coordinators, managing performance and task delegation
- Maintain high standards of clinical, research and staff governance within the research unit
- Coordinate your own portfolio of clinical trials
- Report directly to the ICU Nurse Unit Manager and be supported by the Head of ICU Research
About you:
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care or relevant field
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience in ICU or relevant setting
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a research coordinator or equivalent role
Desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer and data management skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and organised
- Ability to manage deadlines and collaborate across teams
