About the role
Join a future-focused Pharmacy Department committed to delivering innovative, patient-centred care across one of Australia's leading health services. Working as part of a collaborative clinical pharmacy team, you will provide high-quality pharmacy services that support safe, effective medicines management and optimise patient outcomes across a diverse range of clinical specialties.

You'll work alongside experienced pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams while being supported to further develop your clinical knowledge, expand your skills and contribute to service improvement initiatives that enhance the quality use of medicines across the organisation.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centred clinical pharmacy services in line with SHPA guidelines, legislation, and RMH policies, ensuring optimal medicines management.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to ward rounds, clinical meetings, discharge planning, and continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Optimise medication safety through review, reconciliation, counselling, and patient education, ensuring patients understand their medicines, including purpose, use, and potential side effects.
- Contribute to safe and efficient medicines distribution, including dispensing, stock control, controlled drug management, sterile production support, and coordination of specialist medication services.
- Participate in quality improvement, audit, and risk management activities to support safe medication systems, continuous service improvement, and quality use of medicines initiatives.
- Engage in education, training, and supervision of students, interns, junior pharmacists, and hospital staff, while maintaining ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to research, service development, and evidence-based practice, including participation in audits, projects, presentations, or publications where applicable.
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace culture by demonstrating professional conduct, effective communication, WHS compliance, and active participation in organisational initiatives.
About You
- Registered as a pharmacist with AHPRA
- Experience in delivering clinical pharmacy services
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Proficient oral & written communication skills
- Relevant post graduate qualification is desirable
- Completed or working towards a residency program or can demonstrate competence in hospital pharmacy rotations.
- An enthusiasm to learn and further develop clinical pharmacy skills. Opportunities available to participate in residency program.
