Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services (RMH MHS) provides person-centred, recovery-oriented care for adults and older adults through a skilled multidisciplinary team and Lived and Living Experience (LLE) experts. We proudly lead statewide initiatives such as the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing and the State-wide Trauma Service.

 

About The Role:

As a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), you’ll support and develop the mental health nursing workforce by coordinating education, clinical supervision and mentoring to promote evidence-based, high-quality care.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:

  • Coordinate and facilitate professional development and education for mental health nurses.
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and wellbeing support.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, research translation and practice development initiatives.
  • Support undergraduate and entry-level nurses through orientation, learning activities and feedback.
  • Role model best practice and trauma-informed care in line with RMH MHS standards.

 

About You:

You are an experienced mental health nurse educator and clinical leader who is passionate about growing and inspiring others. You have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in public mental health clinical services.
  • Experience delivering clinical supervision and/or preceptorship.
  • Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to RMH values – People First, Lead with Kindness, Achieve Excellence Together.

 

Desirable: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
