Reporting to the RMH Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Director, the Senior Clinical Informatics Officer (CIO) – Outpatients & Virtual Care will provide day to day management of the outpatient and virtual care CIOs and Health Hub (patient portal) concierge and work collaboratively with the RMH EMR team and Parkville EMR team to support the ongoing enhancement and optimisation of the EMR at RMH. This role will work with RMH leadership and subject matter experts, the RMH EMR team, and Parkville EMR team to identify workflow enhancement opportunities, and build and test EMR improvements.
About the role:
In this role you will:
- Review and analyse EMR outpatient workflows to improve user experience
- Lead EMR optimisation planning and provide expert advice to RMH teams
- Develop, evaluate and embed Epic virtual care and patient portal initiatives
- Partner with operational leaders to support new virtual models of care
- Drive safe, timely, equitable and person-centred digital health delivery
About you:
To be successful, you will have:
Qualification
- A tertiary qualification and/or professional qualification in a related field
Essential
- Demonstrated committment to lead and contribute as part of a team
- Experience working in a tertiary hospital, healthcare operations or software deployment in healthcare
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in managing high performing teams
- A sound understanding of EMR functionality to support clinical workflows
- Ability to effectively engage participants in discovery and/or training sessions
- Demonstrated ability to engage and build strong relationships
Desirable
- Epic Application accreditation and/or certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Epic EMR environments and implementation process
