Pathology Network West
Pathology Network West is an exciting transformation program spanning the four health services of the Parkville Precinct: The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. This strategic program will amalgamate the pathology services within the Parkville Precinct forming a new public pathology network that will provide world-class, research-led public pathology services. The Parkville Precinct has a strong history of collaboration with each health service taking responsibility for precinct-wide reforms. The Royal Melbourne Hospital is the lead site for the PNW Program, maintaining close relationships with the other health services throughout.
Pathology Connect Project
One of the key pillars of the PNW Program is the Pathology Connect Project. The objective of the project is to implement a Laboratory Information System (LIS) solution to support the delivery of pathology services across the new network. This project is now underway and will see the Epic ‘Beaker’ LIS module implemented in 2026 onto the existing Parkville Epic EMR. Additional supporting vendor solutions will be integrated to manage blood transfusion and billing workflows, completing the full LIS solution.
Your new role:
As Change Partner – Pathology Connect, you will help ensure staff across the pathology network are engaged, prepared, and supported throughout this transformation. Working closely with clinical teams, vendor partners, change professionals and project managers, you will lead change activities that support system implementation, training and transition to business-as-usual.
This role is vital to delivering successful change outcomes within both laboratory settings and broader health service environments.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver structured change plans for the Pathology Connect
- Support readiness, engagement and adoption across all four health services
- Develop and deliver clear, timely communication and change collateral
- Partner with training leads to support staff capability and transition planning
- Collaborate closely with the broader PNW change team to align approaches
About you
- You bring 5+ years of experience in change management within complex programs
- You are confident managing multiple stakeholders, including clinical, operational and vendor groups
- Experience supporting system implementation and organisational change from planning through to BAU
- You communicate clearly, facilitate well, and love solving problems with others
- Experience in healthcare, digital health, EPIC/EMR or lab settings is highly desirable
- Change management certification (e.g. Prosci, APMG) is a plus
