About the role:
RMH Diagnostic Haematology are seeking casual morphologists to perform blood film morphology and malarial screening as and when required as part of a busy 24/7 laboratory. You may also be required to perform routine FBE and coagulation on the automated track system. Depending on operational need you may be required to participate in weekday, evening or weekend rosters.
In this role, you will
- Perform routine and urgent blood film morphology and escalate cases to the Hematologist's when required.
- Provide support to colleagues in the wider Haematology service when required
- Manage workflows and meet laboratory TAT’s.
- Demonstrate a high level of reliability and professional conduct.
About you:
Qualifications
- Degree in Bachelor of Applied Science (Laboratory Medicine) or equivalent- Majoring in Haematology
Essential
- Minimum 5 years of reporting blood film morphology and malarial screening
- Australian resident or current Visa to work in Australia
- Mandatory working with Children’s Check/Police Check/Immunisation Assessment.
Desirable
- Experience with digital morphology
- Affiliation with a professional body (AIMS, ANZB, ASM etc)
