About the Role
Based within the Cardiology Department, you will perform high-quality echocardiographic studies for both inpatient and outpatient services, supporting the diagnosis and management of a broad range of cardiovascular conditions. As part of a dynamic and supportive team, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care while participating in the after-hours on-call roster.
Key Accountabilities
In this role, you will:
- Perform comprehensive echocardiographic examinations for inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Participate in the after-hours on-call service as required.
- Contribute to efficient patient flow and departmental operations, including administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nursing staff and allied health professionals to support patient care.
About You
Essential
- Bachelor of Science, Applied Science or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification in Echocardiography.
- Demonstrated experience working within a cardiology service.
- Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Experience performing echocardiography in patients with congenital heart disease.
- Experience working within a tertiary or public hospital environment.
