Snow Centre for Immune Health, Immunology and Allergy Research Nurse

This role will support the Snow Centre for Immune Health's objectives in Clinical Immunology and Allergy. The Snow Centre for Immune Health (Centre) brings together top-tier researchers in immune disease, clinicians, and partner organizations. Funded by an initial $100 million over 10 years, this partnership between Walter and Eliza Hall Institute and the Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of the largest philanthropic efforts in Australian history.
The Centre will transform immune system research, diagnostics, and treatments through integrated research and clinical practices, and key to it is a longitudinal study of patients and volunteers, which is where the Study Nurses will play a critical role.
You will be embedded in the clinical team of Allergy and Immunology and will play a part in driving discoveries that will improve the lives of those with immune disorders. As the SNOW Centre Research Nurse in Immunology and Allergy, you will:
- be a part of the Snow Centre for Immune Health, driving discoveries in immune health.
- act as Clinical Study Co-ordinator for the Snow Centre in Immunology and Allergy, being embedded in that Department.
- drive participant recruitment, collecting participant data and samples
- join the Snow Centre to achieve Centre objectives
Your role will involve:
- Assist the Snow Immunology & Allergy Clinical Research Fellow to identify, recruit and consent participants, ensuring recruitment targets are met and participants engaged in the Centre objectives.
- Liaise with researchers and Centre staff at WEHI to coordinate the collection, processing, and transfer of clinical data and samples.
- Maintain study documentation in accordance with Good Clinical Practice
- Assist in the collation of clinical data for analysis, in collaboration with the Snow Immunology & Allergy Clinical Research Fellow.
- Support the overall endeavours of the Centre by working as a team with the other Centre nurses to ensure recruitment targets are met and participants engaged.
About you:
- Experienced and enthusiastic clinical nurse with research training and/or experience.
- Keen to join and help build a new research Centre and team and work to meet its objectives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
