Registered Nurse - Acute Stroke
The Royal Melbourne Hospital

 

  • Full Time or Part Time ongoing position
  • Supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Neuroscience nursing

The Acute Stroke and Neurology ward is a 31 bed specialist medical unit. We have 20 dedicated stroke care beds, 10 of these are cardiac monitored to a central station for our acute stroke care. 11 of our beds are for specialised Neurology patients. We are world leaders in Endovascular Clot retrieval (ECR), and see a multitude of patients with very rare neurological conditions.

Your New Role:
This position offers an excellent career opportunity for a registered nurse with Neuroscience nursing experience who has a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality patient care and education. Working within our supportive team, this position will allow successful candidate to further develop his/her skills and to contribute to the ongoing advancement of our growing and dynamic service. 

About you:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing And Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
  • Commitment to high quality patient care - Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of reliability and professional conduct
  • Preference for a minimum of 3 year's experience as a Neurosciences nurse
