Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner
The Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Part Time Ongoing position
  • 48 hours per fortnight
  • Lead advanced, evidence-based care for people with substance use disorders

Your Opportunity
Are you ready to step into an advanced clinical role where you can make a real impact on patients and communities affected by substance use? The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a dedicated Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide advanced assessment, management, and education for people with substance use disorders.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary addiction medicine team including physicians, psychiatrists, registrars, nurses, and harm reduction partners.
  • Lead the way in evidence-based, patient-centred care, while supporting staff education and mentoring.
  • Participate in unit development, organisational growth and collaborate with internal and external partners.

About You
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who is:

  • Endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner in Australia, with a Master of Nursing and current prescriber number.
  • Experienced in addiction medicine, with advanced clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
  • Committed to The Melbourne Way – putting people first, leading with kindness, and achieving excellence together.
  • Skilled in communication, mentoring, research, and quality improvement.
