Unit Description:
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Vascular Surgery Unit is the oldest specialist vascular unit in Victoria. We are a collaborative and supportive team, and have a modern hybrid operating suite facility, enabling advanced and comprehensive vascular treatment.
About the role:
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team. This is a Full Time, Fixed Term position, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Parkville Campus. The term in Vascular Surgery will be 12 consecutive months. The position is suitable for a PGYR3+ doctor wishing to develop and/or maintain expertise in clinical vascular surgery, concurrent with examination and selection preparation, or research.
A successful applicant will be required to provide high standards of clinical care and appropriate supervision of junior hospital medical officers. Participation in the afterhours 1:3 on call roster is expected.
About You:
- Current General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia, AHPRA
- Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications. MBBS or equivalent
- Recognised as demonstrating particular subspecialty interest and aptitude in vascular surgery.
- Experience in clinical research would be advantageous.
- Well-developed communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
