Unit Description:
The Department of Nuclear Medicine is a public and private service, providing a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services using radiopharmaceuticals. A PET facility is also incorporated within the Department.
The department is accredited for core training with the Australasian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists (AANMS).
About the role:
The Advanced Trainee assists the Nuclear Medicine Specialists in performing and reporting studies undertaken.
The training program is overseen by the Joint Specialist Advisory Committee (JSAC) in Nuclear Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).
About You:
- Current Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Appropriate tertiary health qualifications – MBBS or equivalent
- Approved participant in the AANMS Advanced Training Program
- Completion of all core years of training in Radiology or have successfully completed Part 1 and 2 College of Physician exams.
- Ability to work in a team
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
