The RMH@Home acute (HITH) Unit at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is looking for a passionate and dedicated part-time Registrar to join the team.
The unit provides patient care in the home that would otherwise be delivered in a traditional ward bed. RMH@Home acute unit is responsible for the care of patients with a range of medical and surgical conditions; with some patients admitted directly under the RMH@Home acute unit bed-card, and other patients jointly shared with sub-specialty medical or surgical units.
The unit is accredited to deliver training for registrars within physician specialties (RACP) and emergency medicine (ACEM).
Your New Role:
- Responsible for clinical services of patients within the unit, assessing patients at hospital and community, and supporting the unit’s referral and consultation service.
- Participate in teaching and learning activities for medical and other professional undergraduates and postgraduates, including the supervision and training of medical student
- Participate in continuing educational, research, clinical risk management activities at RMH
About You:
- Current General registration with the Medical Board of Australia – AHPRA
- Appropriate Health professional tertiary qualifications – MBBS or equivalent
- You have acute hospital experience with a collaborative working style
- You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
- Willingness to work on a rotating roster, within our supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team.
- You have a Victorian/Australian driver’s licence and can drive independently.
