Neuroscience Clinical Research-Movement Disorders Fellow (Research Trials)

This is Part Time Fixed Term position at 42 Hours per fortnight commencing October 2025 and ending 4th October 2026.

Unit Description:

The RMH Neurology and Comprehensive Stroke Centre is one of Australia’s busiest clinical units. The Neurology service offers a full range of inpatient, ambulatory care and outpatient services and a busy clinical trials and research unit. In addition to the comprehensive stroke centre, there is dedicated video-EEG monitoring unit, specialist service for patients with multiple sclerosis and other inflammatory conditions, including a day procedure unit with infusion services, movement disorders including deep brain stimulation, neuromuscular conditions including neurophysiology, dementia and neuro-ophthalmology. We serve as a tertiary referral service for most of the state. We aim to provide comprehensive, high quality and efficient care. The medical staff includes 4 advanced trainees in neurology, neurology fellows (undertaking subspecialty training), basic physician trainees, junior medical residents (PGY2) and interns. You will work closely with the neurology multidisciplinary health team.  

 

About the role:

  • Attend weekly clinics
  • Participate in movement disorder research clinical trials
  • Attend departmental research meetings

 

About You:

  • Current General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
