Hospital Medical Officer (HMO) – General Surgical focused training (PGY3+)
This is a Full-Time ongoing position commencing Term 2 (4th May 2026) or Full Time Fixed Term for candidates with applicable Visas.

The large number of rotations on offer will allow you to concentrate on your areas of interest while further developing as a junior doctor and honing your clinical skills.
We are inviting Doctors (PGY3+) with current General Registration with The Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or an International Medical Graduate with current Provisional Registration with AHPRA (with General Registration by May 2026), via the Competent Authority Pathway, and who are interested in continuing their training with Royal Melbourne Hospital, commencing Term 2, 4th May 2026 to apply.
