Unit Description:
The Department of Chemical Pathology in the Royal Melbourne Hospital is a leading department in Victoria providing specialised tests for the state and opportunities for research with links with the University of Melbourne and the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute.
About the role:
We are seeking a registrar who plans to undertake accredited Chemical Pathology training with either the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) or as a JSAC candidate in conjunction with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in dual training in Endocrinology/ Chemical Pathology. The position comprises of full-time laboratory training and 2 Endocrine clinics per week depending on training requirements. The successful applicant will also contribute to the teaching and research being undertaken in the Department.
About You:
- Current General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- Currently undertaking training in Chemical Pathology with RCPA or joint RACP / RCPA training in Endocrinology / Chemical Pathology
- Ability to work in a team
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
