Transplant & General Surgeon
Fractional/Fixed Term-42hpfn (Parental leave cover 03 March 2025 - 22 June 2025)

Unit Description:
The Nephrology Surgical (NEPS) unit is one of the 7 units / services of the department of general surgical specialties at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. It specialises in renal transplantation and vascular access work as well as treatment of general surgical conditions for the nephrology unit.
About the role:
â¢Â   The position is to work as a consultant surgeon in the NEPS unit with involvement in all of the units activities. The position would also involve participation in the NEPS consultant on call roster, emergency general surgical roster and emergency theatre coverage.

About You:
â¢Â   Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (for international Medical Graduates)
â¢Â   MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
â¢Â   Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
â¢Â   Post-fellowship training in transplantation
