- Fixed term full time role until October 2025.
- Monday to Friday Roster Based at Footscray Hospital in the Orygen Inpatient Unit.

About your new team:
Orygen Specialist Program (OSP) provides specialist mental health services, focusing on early intervention, for young people aged 15 to 25 with severe and complex mental illness. Our Inpatient Unit (IPU) is located in Footscray on the Western Hospital site. The IPU includes a 16 bed low dependency area and a further three beds (ICAEAST) for targeted specialised service delivery for youth with complex mental health and psychosocial needs.

Your new role:
- Provide specialist mental health Occupational Therapy input, risk assessment and interventions for consumers.
- Work with lived experience workforce and families/carers to support young people in their recovery.
- Provide inclusive and sensitive practice to young people and their families/carers from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, CALD and LGBTQIA backgrounds.
About You:
- Mental health occupational Therapy qualifications (see position description for details).
- Advanced clinical skills, including the assessment and management of consumers with a mental illness.
- Knowledge of mental health system of care, the common mental health and substance use issues faced by young people, and evidence based treatments for major adolescent health issues.
- Knowledge of and work within the framework of early intervention, destigmatisation, diversity, inclusion, and nondiscrimination.
