Health Information Manager

• Apply your Health Information Management skills at the RMH Mental Health Services.
• Work directly alongside multiple friendly, knowledgeable and supportive teams.
• Develop expertise in a specialised and growing area of Health Information Management.

The Health Information Manager will have a focus on supporting the bed-based services across the Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Service including Inpatient Units, Residential Units, ECT, Emergency Mental Health and Consultation Liaison teams. The role will play a crucial part in ensuring the service is appropriately collecting, using and releasing health information. This is a people-oriented position embedded within the service, working directly alongside clinical and administrative staff.

Your new role:

• Participate in a range of exciting projects and initiatives as the Mental Health system continues its transformation.
• Play a pivotal role in supporting the service’s success with the new Activity Based Funding model.
• Develop and apply expertise in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and other medicolegal requirements.
• Be well supported by a range of experts who will guide your learning and development.

About you:

• You form strong working relationships and enjoy engaging directly with clinical, administrative and support staff in a largely face-to-face capacity.
• You are interested in applying your high level of attention to detail, problem solving and process-oriented thinking in an interesting and growing setting.
• You are comfortable educating colleagues on a range of Information Management topics.
• You have experience working in a health setting and are eligible for membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia.
