Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist

Family Safety Team & Allied Health Psychology

Royal Melbourne Hospital

 

  • Part time, fixed term 12 month parental leave.

  • 0.42 EFT (32 hours/fortnight).

  • Provide high quality, person-centred and evidence-based psychology services.

  • Be part of the peak team coordinating the hospital response for family safety.

  • Join a supportive and collaborative team and be part of the Parkville precinct.

  

The Family Safety Team (FST) are involved in policy development, training and coordination of the hospital’s response when assisting patients experiencing family violence, including in the Bluebird Clinic, a family violence outpatient clinic. Allied Health - Psychology are a dynamic team comprised of neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists and health psychologists. There is a strong culture of clinical research with a number of research projects underway.

Your new role:

  • Provide high quality, person-centred and evidence-based psychology services to patients of the hospital, providing psychological support for clients experiencing family violence.  

  • Provide flexible and individualized assessment, therapeutic intervention and psychoeducation, and liaison and collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team.  

 

About you:  

  • You enjoy working in inter-disciplinary teams.  

  • You have effective communication skills, a collaborative working style and a passion for continued professional development.  

  • You have an interest and/or experience in assisting clients experiencing family violence.  

  • You have an interest in evidence-based practice and research.
