Dementia Research Nurse Coordinator

  • Exciting opportunity in Dementia Research!
  • Part Time - 64 hours per fortnight; Fixed Term - 12 months; Monday to Friday.
  • Work within a large tertiary hospital.

 

The Dementia Research unit, part of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Neurology Department are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced registered nurse with research experience.

This is a Monday to Friday part time, fixed term postion of up to 64 hours per fortnight covering maternity leave for a 12 month period. This position will act as point of contact for nursing and medical staff and provide education to assist with the management of dementia conditions according to evidence based practice.

 

Your New Role:

  • The main contact for dementia clinical trials.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and their families.
  • Assessment of patients referred for evaluation for trials.

 

About you:

  • You have demonstrated experience in research.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills plus the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
