The Victorian Tuberculosis Program has an opportunity for appointment of a new Clinical Nurse Consultant (Tuberculosis). This is an exciting chance to join an experienced and passionate team providing clinical and public health management for people affected by tuberculosis (TB) across Victoria.
The Victorian Tuberculosis Program (VTP) is the statewide provider of services related to TB, including case management, public health monitoring and surveillance and evaluation. We work closely with the Victorian Department of Health, public hospital services and a range of community organisations to provide holistic care for people and communities affected by TB. The VTP is based with the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, a joint venture between The Royal Melbourne Hospital and University of Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Coordination: Coordinate and manage patient care pathways, including scheduling appointments, diagnostic tests and procedures
- Patient Education: Provide comprehensive eduction and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Collaboration: Stakeholder management in the relation to the The Victorian Tuberculosis Program
About You:
- Registartion as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient saftery and person-centered care
