Our 7 South Ward is looking for a Ward Clerk to look after their Orthopaedics and Trauma services, providing essential clerical support, managing records, communication, and patient enquiries. As the first point of contact, they ensure smooth ward operations in a fast-paced environment whilst delivery high-quality patient care. This role is part time, working 24 hours per fortnight with shifts being 3pm - 9.30pm.

About the Role:
Â
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Trauma & Orthopaedics Ward.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage confidential information as well as scheduling appointments..
- Ensure efficient workflow in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Coordinate communication between multidisciplinary teams, patients, and visitors.
- Greet and assist patients, families, and staff as the first point of contact..
- Use hospital systems to process admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Support the ward team with general administrative duties as require

- Strong customer service, communication, and professional phone skills
- Clerical, administrative, and IT proficiency with medical terminology knowledge
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work well in teams
- Motivated, reliable, and committed to professional development with TAFE accreditation
