Job Description: 

Specialist Radiologist

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, subacute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Department of Imaging provides general and subspecialty Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging Services to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, City and Royal Park Campuses and to Melbourne Private Hospital and has links with collocated precinct partners The Royal Women’s Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the University of Melbourne Department of Radiology. As well as a busy clinical workload, the Department offers opportunities for teaching of Radiology registrars and medical students and is actively involved in numerous areas of research.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Consultant Radiologists to join our Radiology team.

Individuals with relevant expertise and /or fellowship training are welcome to apply.

Specialist Radiologist – Fractional/Ongoing 38hpfn, commencing 03 February 2025

Specialist Radiologist - Breast Imaging - Fractional/Ongoing 38hpfn

Specialist Radiologist – Fractional/Fixed Term (Parental leave cover 28 January 2025 to 26 January 2026) 38hpfn

All positions are based at Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus in Parkville.

Formal Qualifications required:

Registration with the Medical Board of Australia

Possess a medical degree registrable in the State of Victoria and a postgraduate Fellowship of the RANZCR or equivalent with specialist recognition in the field of Radiology

About You:

  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to teaching and research in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Understanding of complex organisations and change concepts.
  • Understanding of Resource Management
  • Subspecialty expertise
