Open Dialogue Community Linkage Worker

- Support community mental health treatment, care and support that is social network focused, relationally-focused and enables supported decision making.
- Deliver an innovative model of care that integrates Open Dialogue principles with evidence-based practice.
This role is a key member of the RMH MHS Inner Melbourne Community Mental Health Team; a new team providing mental health, treatment, care and support in the City of Melbourne area (Carlton, North Melbourne, CBD). The team will provide an innovative integrated Open Dialogue Model of Care as part of a translational research project under the auspices of the Victorian Collaborative Centre of Mental Health and Wellbeing. The team will include both clinical and lived and living experience workforce with a focus on participation of the consumers family/support network from the beginning of their engagement with the service.
Your new role:
Alongside clinicians and Lived Experience colleagues, you will provide support to consumers experiencing complex mental health needs and their support network. This role is instrumental in supporting consumers to:
- Identify supports within their network and assist in coordination of network meetings.
- Support linkages with health and community services, as well as community groups and clubs.
- Participate in the community group program, as required.
- Co-facilitation of social network meeting, using Open Dialogue principles and practices.
About you:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in one or more of the following areas: Alcohol and Other Drugs, Family/relationship work, Mental Health community support services, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, Allied Health field and/or Human Services sector.
- Ability to tolerate uncertainty and work in a flexible manner.
- A willingness to share your emotional experience within Open Dialogue network meetings through reflections with your co-facilitator.
