Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant - Social Work

  • Support the Social Work team to provide world class patient care.
  • Gain invaluable experience in the hospital setting.
  • Part time (0.4EFT), ongoing role.

 

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Social Work team consists of over 40 staff members who work across the City and Royal Park Campuses in acute, sub­acute and community-based services across a range of specialties. The Allied Health Assistant provides assistance in patient related and administrative tasks to support coordinated service delivery under supervision from the relevant clinicians. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in the healthcare setting while providing meaningful support to service operation and development.

 

Your new role:

  • Provide support to the Social Work team through completion of administrative tasks related to patient services.
  • Under the direction and / or supervision of the health professional, assist patients in accessing services, coordinating family meetings and completing application forms.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of departmental records.

 

About you:

  • You have effective communication skills and a passion for patient centred care.
  • You are adaptable and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • You demonstrate sensitivity and confidentiality in your professional behaviours.
  • You are currently studying in a healthcare field.
