Job Description: 

Security & Safety Administration Support Officer

 

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Security & Safety team. This is a full time permanent position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based within the Royal Melbourne Hospital Parkville Campus. This position plays a vital role in the day to day running of Security & Safety administration and supporting key personnel within our team including the Director, Security Operations Coordinator, Team Leaders and Nurse Manager Occupational Violence Staff Consultancy.

 

Key aspects of this role include:  

  1. Provide professional ‘front of house’ reception and administrative services and support the smooth running of the service
  2. Answering phones, actioning requests and escalating when appropriate
  3. Issuing staff identification badges and security access cards
  4. Administration support, coordinating meeting documents and manage calendars as required
  5. High level of competence in the use of standard office software, Microsoft Office 365

 

About You (Essential Requirements): 

  1. Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant in a hospital environment
  2. Ability to work under pressure and priorities the workload
  3. Advanced verbal and written communication skills – with demonstrated ability to take minutes and draft correspondence
  4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and a team member
