You’ll join the RMH EMR team and work closely with the Parkville EMR collaborative to enhance EMR workflows, support end-users, and contribute to key digital health initiatives that align with the RMH Digital Transformation Plan.

 

YOUR ROLE, YOUR IMPACT

As the Clinical Informatics Officer – Inpatient Services, you will play a central role in improving the EMR experience for staff and consumers. You will analyse clinical workflows, support EMR training and adoption, and design, build and implement enhancements that help clinicians deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Achieve and maintain Epic EMR credentialing and provide responsive end-user support.
  • Analyse workflows and enhancement requests to design practical EMR solutions.
  • Build, test, implement and evaluate EMR enhancements and digital health projects.
  • Support EMR education, system updates, upgrades, downtimes and continuity processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the Digital Innovation team to validate changes and drive continuous improvement

 

ABOUT YOU

You have:

  • Experience in a tertiary hospital, clinical operations or healthcare software deployment
  • Strong understanding of EMR functionality and clinical workflows
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence presenting to groups
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building abilities
  • High attention to detail, strong organisation skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • A genuine commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement and the Melbourne Way

Desirable:

  • Epic EMR experience
  • Experience developing or delivering training
